The options in detail
What each way of getting there involves.
Guided day tour
The tour takes 8 to 9.5 hours, and about 3 hours are at the falls. The boat and Journey Behind the Falls depend on the variant you choose. In winter, a Niagara Takes Flight upgrade can replace the boat. The price from CAD 79 is not an all-inclusive price.
Niagara Falls tours โGO train and WEGO
GO runs a year-round connection to Niagara Falls on the Lakeshore West corridor. The day package for adults costs CAD 22 and combines the train with a WEGO day pass. The two-day package costs CAD 35 with 48 hours of WEGO. From 6 April 2026 the combination also covers the seasonal onward trip to Niagara-on-the-Lake, which runs April to October, so check your date.
Niagara-on-the-Lake โAmtrak Maple Leaf
The train leaves Toronto Union at 8:20 a.m. and reaches Niagara Falls, Ontario, at 10:22 a.m. The weekend and weekday columns differ, so check the return train for your day.
FlixBus and Megabus
FlixBus takes 1 hour 30 minutes on its fastest trip. In Toronto it serves stops that include Union Station Bus Terminal at 81 Bay Street and Harbourfront. In Niagara it serves stops that include Table Rock, Rapidsview and Erie Avenue. Megabus takes about 2 hours and serves the Niagara Falls Bus Terminal at 4555 Erie Avenue. Your ticket decides the exact stop, so check it before you go.
By car
The bus time is a minimum, not a car time, so plan extra for traffic. If you rent a car, ask whether you may take it across the border. Many rental companies allow it for most vehicles but make exceptions by vehicle and by branch. On the Canadian side, the park-and-ride lot at Rapidsview (Lot C) is included in online passes, and overnight parking is not allowed.
Getting around the falls
A WEGO pass costs CAD 16 for adults and CAD 12 for children aged 3 to 12 for 24 hours. For 48 hours, adults pay CAD 17 to 20 and children CAD 13 to 16, depending on the ticket. Children up to age 2 travel free.
